Sacramento Bee: The house is too small. The roof leaks. The shower spits out cold water. So fix it, right? Isn't that what we would do?
Hire a plumber. Hire a roofer. Hire a contractor. Give Johnny and Joey and Janey their own "space" so they can stop tripping over the Xbox and all the other gadgets that distract them from reading books and riding bicycles.
Our neighbors up the street – the Kings – have many of the same homeowner issues. Arco Arena is tiny and creaky and cramped. The roof leaks. The shower spits out cold water. Plus, the revenue streams have diminished. And let's give a shout-out to the lousy acoustics.
So, yeah, we hear ya. David Stern. The Maloofs. The mayor. The place is a dump, no doubt, no debate. Even with that icky oily name disappearing in the next few weeks, the place needs more than a face-lift. It needs a bulldozer.
