Sacramento Bee: Does Sacramento really not qualify as one of 60 cities attracting young professional talent — a list that includes the likes of Omaha, Neb., and Peoria, Ill.?
The author of that list, Rebecca Ryan, was polite enough to not to mention it Tuesday as the keynote speaker addressing a crowd of
professionals at the “State of Downtown” annual breakfast event hosted by the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. But Mayor Kevin Johnson said, after Ryan had handed the podium to him, that Sacramento’s leaders will do everything in their power to make sure Sacramento makes the list the next time she compiles it.
