Sacramento Business Journal: A group of public and private officials, including representatives of Tesla Motors Inc., Pacific Gas & Electric Co. and Better Place, issued a report Monday calling for 1 million electric vehicles on California roads by 2020.
The report was released at Universal Studios Hollywood where the electric car in "Back to the Future" was introduced 25 years ago.
Sacramento-area business and community leaders, including Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, are pushing for the region to become the green capital, including encouraging the use of electric-only and hybrid vehicles.
