Sacramento Business Journal: A reconvened arena task force has set a deadline of Dec. 30 for groups to submit updated or new proposals for a sports and entertainment
complex.
The Sacramento FIRST Task Force announced Thursday that it will accept new concepts for an arena, but it will focus on the revised proposals of the three teams that were finalists the first time around.
The task force will publicly reveal the proposals by 5 p.m. Dec. 30 and hold a public hearing on the proposals Jan. 6. On Jan. 21 the task force will submit its analysis to Mayor Kevin Johnson and the City Council.
The task force went back to work at Johnson’s request when the group led by developers Gerry Kamilos and David Taylor failed to meet performance milestones, and its exclusive negotiating agreement with the city ended.
