Sacramento Bee: Mayor Kevin Johnson's goal for 2010 is that 30 percent of Sacramentans will volunteer. He has targeted four areas: watch groups to improve neighborhood safety; tutoring and mentoring of kids; helping the homeless to self-sufficiency; and improving parks, community gardens and the urban forest.
